Our client, a prestigious Catering Butchers, are looking for an experienced Butchery Manager / Production Manager to lead the established team at their site based in the West Midlands.  

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for the production function of this highly respected business.

This is a very hands-on management role.

The Role

• Responsible for the production of all meat products
• Management of overall costs including equipment, waste, direct labour and materials.
• Management of production planning, forecasting, and stock control
• Leading the team to ensure effective manufacturing, and despatch of all products to customer specification
• Management the daily production function - particularly planned and unplanned changes and non-standard work

The Individual

• Experience of managing a large team (circa 100 people) in a busy, fast moving, production environment - with experience of reporting to senior levels
• Strong understanding of food safety
• Experienced in preparing for and leading audits
• Prior Meat industry experience would be a distinct advantage
