Graduate NPD/ Technical Technologist

Reporting into the Head of NPD you will be part of the team evaluating ingredients, with the aim of reducing complexity throughout the business.
Be part of NPD / Technical projects involving continuous improvement.
Maintain a close working relationship with all departments of the company
Review ingredients to be in line with company policies and standards, regarding clean & nutritional declarations
Conduct kitchen recipes, to assess suitability and process control before trials
Organisation daily of all sample deliveries and collection
Ability to communicate clearly with other departments to obtain information, ingredients, samples, and feedback
Co-ordinate across departments, gathering of ingredients & recipe information, trials, sites & customer approvals
Review logistic, planning, and commercial impacts with relevant teams
Present to customers alongside Technical & Commercial teams
You will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science, food technology or nutrition discipline and any previous NPD / Technical experience from either an industry placement or full-time role would be a benefit. You will have good communication and computer skills coupled with a real passion for food innovation.
• Base salary £20-25,000 p.a.
• 28 days holidays (including bank holidays) – one extra day of annual leave per year after 1 years’ completed service in 1 full holiday year up to a max of 33 days including bank holidays. (Holiday year runs 01 Jan to 31 Dec. and 3 days holiday need to be taken over Christmas shutdown.)
• Company pension contribution 3%, rising to 4% in April 2019
