LOOKING TO STEP UP YOUR FMCG SUPPLY CHAIN CAREER?

FMCG INTERNATIONAL HEAD OF OPERATIONS
Competitive Salary+20% bonus, car allowance & benefits
South East, M3/M4/M25 corridor

THE COMPANY

A highly successful global food company with a UK South East-based division, selling branded food products both direct and through strategic distributors within the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The International business unit works with pace and enthusiasm within a clear, well-invested, brand-led strategy which has resulted in the doubling of sales over the past 5 years, with a vision to do the same again over the next 5 years.

THE ROLE

You will lead, develop and motivate a small team of highly committed individuals, managing direct liaison with internationally-based manufacturers, third party logistics, QA partners and end-to-end supply chain, and demand planning based inventory movements across the above mentioned international regions.

This is an executional, strategic and highly influential position which is part of the senior leadership team and has a significant impact on the company’s processes, efficiencies and profitability. Additionally, the role will have scope to strategically review and develop new sources of manufacturing for the supply of both existing products and new product innovation.

THE CANDIDATE

You are most likely to be currently working within the FMCG sector at Supply Chain Manager, Controller or Head of Supply Chain level, and have strongly developed your experience in all aspects of international product sourcing and management of stock movements across any of the key international markets.

With a proven track record of team development, you have experience of directly managing supply chain teams and working cross-functionally with product forecasting/demand planning, logistics, QA systems and NPD supply to trade and planning; whilst interacting and influencing across other functions in the business to drive improved operational efficiencies whilst delivering on the future sources of supply for innovation.

This is a very broad-based role offering a great opportunity to step up your supply chain career to a senior team leadership level position, where you will shape strategy, develop supply chain and sourcing efficiencies and have the visibility to manage and drive profitability.

To succeed in this role, you must possess a highly personable style, coupled with the gravitas to negotiate large contracts and to ‘hold the floor’ internally. An enquiring mindset, a people focused attitude and a highly driven, passionate style are all prerequisites to this appointment.
