An opportunity has arisen for a Production Manger to lead the production operations of Malteries Soufflet’s UK facility based in Burton on Trent. The role

Reporting to the UK Country Manager, the Production Manger will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of the company’s UK production operations in Burton on Trent.  You will lead the manufacturing function within budget and ensure targets meet customer requirements and standards. You will have full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost and delivery requirements are met. You will be responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team by building working relationships ensuring that health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to. You will manage the team on best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading teams. You will implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.  

The candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or related production operations experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Production experience in the brewing industry would be highly desirable.  Candidates with relevant production experience in the food industry will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
