Packhouse Manager

A leading berry grower is looking for an experienced Packhouse Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the packhouse, as well as managing the wider team. This soft fruit business has multiple sites across the UK however you will be based at their site in Chichester.

The Job:

Reporting into the Packing Manager, you will have a variety of responsibilities ranging from ensuring all work is carried out and completed with full awareness of Health & Safety policies, managing maintenance schedules, assisting in the development of crop packing plans in order to optimize technology and plant and successfully recruiting and managing the wider team.

The Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you must be an experienced Packhouse or Production Manager, preferably with experience working with soft fruit or other fresh produce. You must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to identify and solve problems. It is also essential that you have awareness of Health & Safety legislation as well as managing and working within a set budget.
