Salary - £35k to £40k dependant on experience and qualifications

First Grade International Limited is an ambitious and fast growing FMCG company providing high quality food products to the UK’s major food manufacturers and retailers, including our successful and expanding range of products packed under the “Koko Dairy Free” Brand.

We are now seeking a Retail Food Technologist to lead and develop technical quality assurance work on our retail products. Working closely with New Product Development and Marketing, you will provide technical support across specifications, review art work and secure supplier approval to ensure all products are fully compliant. You will also bring your ideas and expertise to our drive to develop and launch new, innovative product lines.

The successful candidate must be able to clearly demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications.

• A technical specialist within a similar role with a proven, recent track record of working in a similar role with an FMCG company supplying the UK’s major supermarkets.
• A real foodie with a passion and flair for challenging the status quo.
• Degree educated in Food Science or a related discipline.
• Level 4 Lead Auditor Certification with experience in managing a number of suppliers and completing supplier audits.
• Experienced in specification writing, with a good understanding of retailer codes of practices.
• Flexible and prepared to travel overseas when required.
• Car owner and driver
• Living locally, or able to relocate
