Eden Scott's client is a food manufacturer based in Abroath. They are looking for a hygiene supervisor to join their technical team and lead a team of hygiene operatives.



Key responsibilities include:
  • Technical Integrity - Ensure that hygiene and food safety regulations are always understood and adhered to
  • Process performance - Lead the production area to ensure effective process performance
  • People Performance & Teamwork - Manage the team to ensure effective performance
  • Health & Safety - Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are followed
  • Continuous Improvement - Pro-actively contribute to improvement activities
  • Communication - always ensure effective and appropriate communication
  • Key Performance Indicators - Understand KPIs and how to improve results


Requirements
  • The ability to lead, motivate and effectively manage a hygiene team for the site.
  • To plan and co-ordinate tasks relating to hygiene and site hygiene via the relevant teams and their relevant team leaders in order to maintain the required levels of cleanliness of plant, fabric and machinery
  • Have effective verbal and non-verbal communication with your team and Technical Manager.
  • Have a good understanding of hygiene standards and requirements and ensuring compliance within your team.
  • Hold a Level 3 Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Knowledge and experience of COSHH and chemical handling, working at heights and COSHH train the trainer.
  • The commitment to actively promote the training and development of the team.
  • To be aware of the Company environmental policy and ensure that all actions and requirements of the environmental management system are implemented as required.
  • Have adequate IT, written and verbal communication skills.
