Demand Planning Manager

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Our client is a leading international manufacturer within the FMCG sector, they have an impressive range of recognised brands within consumer goods. The supply chain function is now looking for an experienced Demand Planner to support senior management and lead a team of Planners. As the Demand Planning Manager you will be working closely with stake holders and taking ownership of the forecast process for selected brands in the international market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the forecast process and the delivery of a reality based, SKU volume forecast in line with sourced products for domestic, export and intercompany
  • Deliver 18 month forecast across all the above area
  • Confidently challenge sales forecasts where significant changes have occurred and explaining their reason for changing.
  • Alerting Supply Chain on anticipated demand changes likely to be of an exceptional nature
  • Developing the use of MRP in line with developing Business needs
  • Helping the organisation develop and continuously improve S&OP process

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience within a busy FMCG manufacturing environments
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to challenge business leadership
  • Proven background developing/training staff within the department
  • A confident communicator who has interpersonal and influential skills to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders, customers and external providers
  • Strong IT systems knowledge including ERP systems and excel is essential.
