The Ingredients department at Arla Foods produces 18000 tons of permeate powder and 4000 tons of whey protein concentrate using membrane, evaporator and drying technology. Our customers use the products as ingredients in foods and have high demands for dry blend quality and food safety.

In order to continue to provide our customers with the highest quality food ingredients, we are looking for QEHS Coordinator, which will be a new role in the department. Reporting to the QEHS Team Leader, you will provide support for the Ingredients team to continue our journey in quality, environment, health and safety following Legislation and Arla Foods Global Standards.

This is an exciting role providing support and technical expertise to the Ingredients department to maintain and further develop our QEHS management systems. This is a great opportunity and will provide a great challenge for the right candidate, who is looking to develop their career.

You will be a key player in ensuring that the highest factory standards are met in line with FSSC & ISO 22000 Food Safety Standard, and other customer requirements. You will also be expected to make significant contributions to problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives, trend analysis and hygiene improvements. We supply other businesses with Ingredients and as such have many audits. You must therefore ensure that all documentation and processes required to comply with standards, customer specific or internal standards are ready and of a high standard at all times. You will work with other team members to connect both Arla and Site strategy to the tasks of the department. Relationships will also be with QEHS colleagues at Head Office in order to ensure best practice across all Arla Dairies. The role will involve supporting the on-site laboratory with microbiological and chemistry testing of the powder and WPC.

You are

The successful candidate will have sound working knowledge in a Quality and/or Environment, Health and Safety role within a food manufacturing environment. Dairy knowledge would be preferred but not essential. You must be competent in Chemistry and Microbiology with an understanding of FSSC, customer standards and audit requirements & HACCP. A high skills level across problem solving and delivering projects is essential along with the ability to think on your feet and make decisions. Good IT skills are required with knowledge of SAP as an advantage.
