Business Development - ( Bilingual ) Aberdeen

Purpose of the Role:

Maintain and develop business sales in new and existing markets in a profitable manner to aid the success of the company.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Researching organisations and individuals online to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with customers by telephone & email on a daily basis
  • Ensure all sales are documented accurately and administered to system requirements
  • Assess product quality and availability daily and as required
  • Liaise with the purchase team for current market info and product availability and pricing
  • Notify customers same day should there be any shortfall or issues with their order
  • Investigate & liaise customer or transport issues with Credit control and purchase departments
  • Provide Directors and Management with accurate sales and productivity reports as required
  • Where required, visit customers, attend relevant trade shows and events
  • Health and Safety Adherence

Skills and Experience: 

  • Experience of working within Seafood sales and market would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in sales and achieving sales targets
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Enthusiastic, driven and passionate
  • Bilingual in and at least 1 other language
