Technical Administrator (Part-Time Contract)

This highly regarded manufacturer specialises in the distribution of raw materials from their dedicated facilities in the East Midlands. They have built up a reputation for supplying the highest quality products and from their expert knowledge in the industry, have formed excellent relationships with producers and customers worldwide.
The main purpose of this role is to support the Technical Manager by preparing technical documentation including specifications, safety data sheets and product questionnaires.
This hands-on role requires good organisational and time management skills as you’ll be working on many pieces of documentation at any one time. You’ll also be liaising with external customers so good interpersonal skills are required.
A small part of this role will be to ensure that the quality manual including Health & Safety records and documentation are kept up to date, staff training records and staff manuals are updated and appropriate staff training is undertaken. You will also help prepare the annual audit with SALSA.
You will be a holder of a food science related degree and/or possess some relevant technical experience within food manufacturing. You will preferably have an understanding of laboratory/chemical analysis and experience in quality management, health & safety and auditing is also a benefit. You will be highly organised, be able to manage your own workload plus working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
The Technical Administrator job is based in the East Midlands region and is paying £9.00 - £9.50 per hour according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week, however flexibility is available. This is a contract position with a duration of 6 months.
