We’ve got a great opportunity for a Machine Minder to join our night shift  team based in Park Royal.



A machine minder must ensure that products leaving your area of responsibility meets the requirements of the customer and specifically responsible for the safe and effective running, setting up and changeover of all designated machinery associated with the running of a production line.

You may not have heard of us, but we’re sure you’ve tried our products because we supply food for the all the major supermarkets in the UK.



Here at Park Royal, we have a team of around 1,150 colleagues. We produce sandwiches, wraps and platters for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Morrisons, Co-op, Spar, Wilko, Sutherlands, Iceland and Poundland.


What we’re looking for

A machine minder is responsible for ensuring that our equipment is setup and operated correctly throughout the shift. This role would suit someone with a mechanical mind.  You would be required to make sure the correct skillets are present for the product and the machine is set to take the right skillet size. 



You would be reporting directly to the Production Team Leader and being a part of the Production Team you will manage the day to day operation of packaging/depositing machines in production on a shift basis and  assist the Team Leader to achieve all operational K.P.I’s and drive continuous improvement. Your key  responsible will include:



Ensure safe and effective running of cutters (where present), packing machines date/price printing equipment, depositors, butter machines, bread feeders, bread collators and any other machinery associated with the running of a production line;



Work quickly and accurately with correct specifications for pack size and date coding;



Regularly monitor any machinery in use ensure it is working within acceptable limits as well as carry out basic fault finding and repairs and reporting any maintenance issues in a proactive manner to avoid production downtime; 



Keeping the equipment in optimum clean conditions and be free from labels and other “cardboard engineering”;



 



You Must:



•Have experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry;



•Help to ensure a safe working environment;



•Possess a ‘Can-do attitude’, and be able to work to high standards;



•Have a hardworking mentality with the ability to learn fast and be adaptable.



•Work well under pressure and to deadlines.



•Work well as part of a team.



•Maintain quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards.
