Engineering Supervisor

I am recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Supervisor to join my client, a rapidly expanding Food Manufacturer based near York.

This is an opportunity to develop your managerial skills with bespoke training based on your requirements. The team have created a culture of togetherness, everyone gets involved and all engineers take responsibility for their own tasks. There are great career prospects as the company actively recruit within. This is a day's only position - no nights!

Ideally You will possess strong mechanical or electrical knowledge and have qualifications to match. You will have previous experience in a supervisory role or as stand in supervisor and ideally you will have worked within a food environment. You will have experience in continuous improvement and have a record of cost saving activity. You will be a natural leader and able to motivate your team. You will be expected to suggest new ideas in order to improve productivity and will be proactive in implementation.

This will involve the management of PPM schedules, KPI targets, working closely with the production team, coaching and training and actively encouraging a successful and engaging culture through continuous improvement.
