The company creates, develops, manufactures and markets an extensive variety of high-quality products and ingredients for customers in the food and beverage industries. They supply customers across the world and actively implements a successful, rapid growth strategy.
The Technical Officer plays a key role in ensuring company products are safe, legal, authentic and to the highest possible standard of quality. The position is 80% office and 20% factory floor based.
You will be responsible for the customer complaint system, logging complaints and follow up investigations with corrective actions and closure, raw material specification and risk assessment systems, supplier approval and monitoring system, liaising with NPD to produce new product specifications and artwork briefs, keeping finished product specifications up to date in both company and customer formats, carry out internal and GMP audits plus assist with third party audits as required.
To be considered for the Technical Officer job, you will be degree educated in a food science / technology related subject together with strong technical understanding/experience. You will have an understanding of technical processes, HACCP and allergen management and ideally have a background working with fresh chilled or pasteurised products. Fluency in Spanish, Greek or Italian is a distinct benefit.
The Technical Officer job is based in the Greater London region and paying £25,000 - £27,500 plus 10% annual bonus, pension scheme and private health option (after 6 months).
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm or 8.30am – 5pm.
