Are you an experienced Technical Manager looking for a new challenge?
Do you have food experience across various different food products including high risk?

Main Responsibilities:
The purpose of the role is to lead the Technical Team at Site level, developing and delivering against set processes and practices, and helping to ensure that products are manufactured to meet the food safety, integrity and quality standards required both by law and by our customers through verification of standards. 
The role takes responsibility for effective management of the Technical function to ensure that the highest standards of food safety of our products and processes are maintained and improved. 
Develop and maintain exceptionally strong working relationships with Site Teams, including regular updates to ensure awareness of all Technical issues and encourage two way communication and problem solving
Coordinate and supervise the activities of Quality Assurance, Quality Systems and Specifications teams through active task management and regular progress updates.
Role success is measured by achievement of the Technical strategy within agreed budgets and timescales, demonstrating clear Technical improvements and reduced customer quality issues.
Achievement of BRC and customer audit top grades where possible, demonstrating clear improvement in audit results and corrective actions plans when standard not achieved
Support the team (and colleagues) in the implementation of new initiatives, driving a best practice approach at all times.
Ensure that the Company has the appropriate monitoring and auditing systems in place to demonstrate due diligence, best practice, and full compliance with legal and Customer’s protocols and specifications.

Key Skills Required:
Solid experience with technical systems and standards and management within manufacturing.
Previous Technical Management experience within the food industry, ideally with some chilled high risk food products.
You will have prior experience of supplying to multiple customers including both retail and foodservice
Direct experience of change management at a senior level.
Strong track record of successful team management.
Experience of managing key capital projects as part of daily role.
Excellent communication and team working skills with the capability to communicate confidently internally & externally, and to build and develop strong customer relationships.
Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate, coach and manage large teams.
Able to work within an agreed established framework and cope with pressure.
Results oriented, with determination to deliver the best possible outcomes and strong change management skills.
High levels of professionalism, integrity and ethical awareness
