We're looking for a fantastic Product Manager to help us make a difference in toddler nutrition.

The role is based at our lovely HQ in Notting Hill, London and reports into the Global Brand Director.

The role

  • Lead all NPD projects from concept sign-off.  Working closely with our Innovation Manager, who leads on early stage concept development, you’ll be responsible for taking on approved concepts and delivering them through factory trial to launch, working with both internal stakeholders and our manufacturing partners:
    • Ensuring all new product development meets our tight nutrition, ingredients and taste standards
    • Co-ordinating and attending factory trials, pre-production trials and packaging press-passes
    • Working closely with Production (external) and Supply Chain Operations (internal and external) to ensure all NPD is operationally feasible, from both technical and commercial perspectives
    • End-to-end packaging development, from briefing design through print production
    • Working closely with internal commercial team to develop accurate product costings and ensure products remain within cost targets
  • Responsibility for existing Little Dish product portfolio.  Ensuring that our consumers are having the best possible experience every time they try anything from Little Dish:
    • Co-ordinating weekly tastings to ensure compliance against agreed QAS
    • Maintaining technical / regulatory documents to ensure compliance with all legislation (FSA, EU)
    • Leading Customer Care for Little Dish – overseeing complaints processes and line managing our Marketing Assistant who has part time responsibility for responding to all in-bound consumer contact
    • Working with our Commercial team to analyse sales performance and propose existing product improvement / development initiatives where appropriate
    • Monitoring the market for new launches and leading regular competitor benchmarking sessions

Experience and skills

  • Educated to degree level, 2:1 or above
  • c 5 years’ Product Development / Management experience in food or drink, ideally chilled/fresh, including a track record of successful product launches and a specific interest in nutrition
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of food development processes and operations
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and abilities in stakeholder management
  • Commercially minded and highly numerate
  • Small company mind-set – hands-on, flexible, loves both working as part of a team and also on own initiative
