Planner

The Person

This is a brilliant chance to work for a dynamic, premium food business producing chilled products for the UK major multiples. They are now looking for a proactive Planner to join their fast paced team.

The Role

In this key role, you’ll be responsible for forecasting activities, creating and maintaining forecast models for your customers and incorporating insights gained from sales, marketing and retail data. Using budget trackers, marketing strategy and historical retailer information you’ll anticipate customer demands and compile reports enabling you to ensure production plans are updated to maximise efficiency and guarantee successful product launches all year round.
You’ll be working closely, building relationships, with customer supply chain contacts in order to deliver optimum product availability, carrying out cross functional research to provide and develop inventory strategy for new and existing products. You’ll also be coordinating customer action plans with supply planning whilst challenging current processes and implementing continuous improvements in order to anticipate and exceed customer demand and drive business forward.

The Candidate

You will be highly organised individual who has previous experience of working in a similar position within a fast paced manufacturing environment. You’ll have an analytical approach with creative problem solving skills combined with a good working knowledge of planning systems and operational processes. High levels of numeracy and computer literacy, particularly Excel, are essential. You will also need to have great communication skills as you’ll be liaising with internal teams and customers to deliver KPIs and ensure maximum levels of service.
