As the HSE Officer you will be assisting with the development, implementation and communication of all relevant HSE policies at the site, working with an array of products including regulated products.

You will be a big part of implementing site strategy & developing a culture of HSE.

Description

As the HSE Officer you will be reporting into an HSE Manager & working closely with the operations in order to help transform the working culture & champion health, safety & environmental best practice.

Key responsibilities include:

Provide day to day Safety, Health and Environmental assistance and advice to enable the site to comply with relevant statutory legislation.

Assist with the development, implementation and communication of all relevant SHE policies at the site

Meet annual Safety, Health and Environmental objectives which will be assessed via the performance management system.

Take responsibility for the full scope of SHE activities at the site.

Be point of contact for enforcement authorities.

Analyse and assist developing action plan for site based on accident / Incident & Claims information.

Undertake relevant Safety, Health and Environment audit and create action plan.

Deliver and provide support in the development of Safety, Health and Environmental training requirements.

Coordinate the Safety, Health and Environmental monitoring programme to ensure legal and organisational compliance.

Assist in the management of the site H&S committee.

Assist the management team in the completion of their H&S responsibilities.

Network to ensure the sharing and obtainment of best practice within the business.

Ensuring accident investigations are completed and actions are implemented to prevent recurrence at the site.

Help identify, assess and implement actions to reduce claims.

Stay conversant as to relevant H&S skill and qualification levels required for effective performance.

Provide Regular communication, reports on performance and issues to all stakeholders.

Help the site to achieve all relevant H&S KPIs.

Profile

A HSE Officer with the passion to develop their Health & Safety career further & the following:

Prior experience within a FMCG, manufacturing or distribution

NEBOSH Certified or working towards it

IOSH Trained

The ability to work collaboratively

Attention to detail

Excellent Organisational Skills
