“That’s now how we do it here. We have always done it that way.” It can be frustrating when you take on a new role and the same people who told you that you would have a blank canvas to make changes are now telling you that the status quo needs to be maintained.
This is a new role for this business. They are already getting the business and have tripled turnover in five years. Now they are looking for a Site Manager to drive that profitability through the business. As the business is maturing, they are already seeing profit conversion and you will manage this. You’ll control the operational P&L, sit at the top table and you will have every discipline report in to you. There will be nowhere to hide, but you have never really shied from challenges, have you?
We don’t mind which food products your current employer manufactures, just that you have been supplying top 4 retailers with own label foods in the last couple of jobs you have had.
At the end of your first three months here, you would be able to consider your start here successful if you could say that you have sorted adherence to the production plan, got the Shift Managers listening to each other and helped the Factory Manager develop their abilities further.
Only we know about this role and how great this company is, but we’ll let you in on that if you can get in touch in the next couple of days and show us why this is the role you deserve.
