Materials Scheduler - £23-28K

Due to a massive boost in turnover, our client are looking to urgently add a Materials Scheduler to their planning team. Realistically, successful candidates can expect to be interviewed and offered the job before the end of April.

Applicants should come from a food background (or similar consumables industry like pharmaceuticals) and have experience in inventory control / MRP / stock rotation / materials release and scheduling within a controlled environment (ambient, chilled and/or frozen).

Our client are a hugely successful food manufacturer with sites across the UK. They are investing widely in staff and systems in their Leeds facility. Increased demand and huge boosts in turnover over the last few years are the reason for this vacancy and wider investment.

As the Materials Scheduler, you will be responsible for:

• Scheduling the movement of raw materials within the site to meet production requirements.
• Assisting with Goods In processes to ensure timely and correct receipt of raw materials.
• Conducting necessary inventory management activities, including stock accuracy checks, rotation, quality control, etc.
• Producing reports and updating materials plans and schedules as required.

As mentioned, we will only accept applications from those with experience in inventory control / MRP / stock rotation / materials release and scheduling / demand planning, ideally within a controlled food manufacturing environment.

This role would suit an established Materials Scheduler looking to move into a company with genuine opportunities for progression, or perhaps a Junior Supply Chain Planner looking to specialize.
