The business aim is to enhance their support for equipment suppliers to the food industry, and support for Plant Engineers that are looking to improve the hygienic performance of equipment and facilities.
The purpose of the Food Hygiene Specialist is to support the section manager to deliver and grow the factory hygiene services. Hygiene services currently involve consultancy and testing work around topics such as personnel hygiene, hygienic design, building design, EHEDG guidelines, air handling, BRC requirements, environmental monitoring programmes, swab sampling and testing, cleaning & disinfection, training and general troubleshooting. Practical work will include a blend of research and contract services.
To be considered for the Food Hygiene Specialist role, you will ideally be educated to a degree level in a relevant scientific or engineering related discipline and possess hands-on practical knowledge of food factory environments. You will be HACCP qualified, ideally have significant and recognised credibility in food safety management and a knowledge of microbiology is an advantage. A full UK valid driving licence is also required plus the ability to travel within the UK and abroad.
The Food Hygiene Specialist job is based in the South Central / West Midlands region and is paying £30,000 plus excellent benefits including pension scheme, private medical insurance, holiday buying/selling scheme, subsidised restaurant and ongoing company supported training.
