This role involves working for a well-established and leading supplier of ambient products. The business has a wealth of experience in sourcing, manufacturing using high performance machinery and efficient distribution.
 

The job

Your role as Multi Skilled Engineer will be to provide effective and efficient engineering support to the business by carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance to all plant, equipment, services and buildings as required including fault finding and repairs.

You will minimise down time and increase uptime availability through delivering a responsive breakdown response and planned preventative management, working collaboratively with production and other functions to identify failings (5 Why and other lean techniques) and putting in place rectification plans to eliminate these for the future.

Your experience

We are seeking a proactive individual with a background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment. You will hold GSCE Math’s & English grade A-C and possess formal engineering qualifications e.g. HND/HNC or a time served apprenticeship equivalent. Auto-Cad software experience and 18th Edition Electrical Wiring qualification are both highly desirable.

The Multi Skilled Engineer job is based in the Home Counties / East Midlands region and is paying £35,000 plus potential overtime (paid at £18 per hour). The working hours are Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm, plus occasional weekend work during busy times.
