Our Client, a company at the cutting edge of the Drinks Industry, is looking to appoint an Operations Manager for their site based in London.  This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a small, innovative team, overseeing and managing operations across the site in this broad and interesting role.

Reporting directly to the MD, responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Managing client liaison, selecting and purchasing ingredients and scheduling production
  • Onboarding new clients and managing existing client relationships
  • Assisting the Accounts team with credit checks, setting terms and raising sales invoices
  • Managing supplier and ingredient sourcing, purchasing and supplier payments and approval
  • Designing new, and improving existing management systems and standard operating procedures
  • Overseeing NPD; organising kitchen trials, sourcing new raw materials and determining pricing for new finished goods
  • Monthly stock control and reporting
  • Ensuring proper documentation takes place and that records are kept up to date and are aligned with all BRC Food Safety requirements
  • Assisting with audit preparation and managing the systems put in place to ensure the company is audit ready at all times
  • Overseeing facilities from office management to upkeep and cleaning
  • Responding to customer or supplier issues

Essential skills and experience include:

  • Experience in an operations role, or similar, within the Food / Drinks industry
  • Commercially focussed with excellent strategic and project management skills
  • Ideally, a working knowledge of BRC, AWRS (Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme) and WOWGR (Warehousekeepers and Owners of Warehoused Goods Regulations)
  • Experience designing, implementing and maintaining management systems
  • An effective communicator with an ability to build great relationships
  • A problem solver with an ability to manage timelines and a true attention to detail
  • Significant experience working with excel
  • Experienced and comfortable managing a small team
