Material Resource Planner (Maternity cover 1 year)

An opportunity to work with a market leading fresh produce marketing organisation on a 1 year contract basis.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Delivery of MRP processes to sales, procurement and production teams daily (seven days a week)
• Support the continued development of MRP across business functions
• Maintenance of relevant data to enable planning processes 
• Liaising with other departments to obtain up-to-date information for planning

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Delivery of morning and afternoon MRP sessions to assist short-term commercial planning
• Delivery of MRP sessions to enable medium- and long-term planning
• Communication of MRP results 
• Assist in the capture business rules to allow MRP to run accurately (priority, approval, preference etc.)
• Updating of stock and order information as required for MRP, and liaising with relevant 3rd parties to obtain information
• Weekend working required – one week in four with current team size (four members including this role)
• Maintenance and administration of the planning files

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Evidence of experience working in a comparable role, preferably within the soft fruit industry
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good administrative abilities
• Strong appreciation of our business needs and resourcefulness in coming up with solutions to our daily challenges
• Ability to relate to key client personnel in a professional and credible fashion
• Well-developed personal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of employees
• Understand business requirements quickly & relate to both the systems staff and commercial & operational staff with ease
• Ability to work as part of a team with colleagues across professional, operational and cultural boundaries
• Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to handle a number of tasks at once and meeting deadlines as required
• Very good organisational skills
