Job Details

Production Operative, Newquay

At Arla, we do so much more than make some of the world's favourite dairy products. We make healthy taste delicious, mornings worth getting up for and family dinners unforgettable. Cravendale®, Anchor®, Lurpak® and Tickler® - names like these make us a vital, natural part of modern life in over 100 countries around the world. We are 4,000 UK and 19,000 global employees at the heart of it. Every single one of us plays an important role and together we build on our 10bnEuros turnover and establish our position as one of the largest dairy companies in the world.

We currently have opportunities for Operatives to join our friendly, close knit production team based at our rural site in Trevarrian, just outside Newquay. The role will involve working on a days shift rota as part of a team to deliver operational plans. Hours are 40 per week, currently covering either Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday and can include early starts (occasional Sunday/bank holiday working as required).

Rewarding Production Team

Working within a team environment on a busy production line, the role will be responsible for fulfilling orders of specialty cheese for major retailers. You will be responsible for contributing to the production plan through efficient resolution, utilisation and operation of equipment, maximising quality, productivity and material yield.

The role may also involve deputising from the Team Leader when they are absent.

You will ensure company policies are maintained with regard to Food Safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), Customer Codes of Practice, Safety, Health and Environment and operating practices.

Market Leading Company

The successful candidate needs to be able to operate within a challenging but rewarding factory environment that is physically demanding and can entail repetitive tasks.

You will have a background within a similar production role. You need to have a can-do attitude, with good communication skills and will enjoy working as part of a team.

Due to some days with early starts (6am) and then other days with late finishes (10pm) own means of transport will be required rather than reliance on public transport.

In return you can expect a competitive salary (above national living wage) and the opportunity to work with a market leading company that encourages internal promotion and future prospects.

Application

Apply as soon as possible as due to the volume of roles we will deal with, applications will be handled when they are received. We look forward to hearing from you!
