NPD Technologist

The Company

Our client is a supplier of premium chilled and frozen products to the UK major multiples. With their people focussed approach, passion for creativity and responsible sourcing, they are now seeking a Process Development Technologist to join their dynamic team

The Role

You’ll be managing the product development process for their retail accounts by overseeing the factory trials, collating reports and communicating effectively with the business the required actions from each trial. You’ll also be responsible for launching products from concept to launch through the management of the critical path process ensuring they are on time and budget.  You’ll be responsible for signing off artwork and labelling for all new product launches.

You’ll co-ordinate internal and external sample requests, shelf life taste panels and provide cost engineering incentives for current product lines. You’ll also assist in writing and developing Quality contracts. Building excellent internal and external relationships, working with NPD to ensure product launches and product knowledge is communicated to the wider business.

The Person

We are looking for a Food Science graduate who has some experience within food product development.  It is essential you are able to work flexible hours to ensure adequate cover for all new product launches and occasionally be present on night shift and weekends. Your keen eye for detail is also vital for succeeding in this role along with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal team
