Job Details
Our client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their site based in Kent. This role will initially start as a night shift and then move onto a 4 on 4 off days shift pattern in the Autumn. They are looking to hire a generalist Engineer who has experience of flow wrap or heat sealing machines, or someone who has worked on conveyor belt systems. A background working in food or fresh produce is desirable, as is a 17th edition or above qualification, however these are not a necessity.
The Job:
Carry out service maintenance procedures.
Trouble shoot and provide advice to machine operators.
Fault finding
Repair and update machines.
Provide advice on COSHH.
Maintain records and service books for machines.
Record daily check sheets.
Maintain record of works done and service sheets.
Responsible in an advisory capacity for use of machinery and potential hazards.
Train new production staff on safe use of machinery.
The Candidate:
City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
3 years + experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience working in an FMCG environment.
Comfortable working at heights.
