Technical Manager required for a fast-paced food processing site in Worcestershire.

Working for an instantly recognisable brand, your responsibility as Technical Manager will be to ensure product quality is maintained and customer requirements are met. Managing a team of Technical and Lab professionals you will drive out waste and inefficiencies while ensuring quality, legal and safety standards are maintained.

Reporting to the Area Technical Manager who manages multiple sites the buck stops with you for site based technical issues. Supplying products to the retail sector you will ensure the site meets audit requirements at all times and deliver the quality strategy in line with the group strategy.

This role requires a strong people manager who is able to identify the skills and gaps in the team, manage training and development to increase the skill level of the technical department. Experience in delivering CI projects within a Technical function would be advantageous in order to quickly assimilate into long-term improvement projects

Experience required:
  • HACCP level 4
  • Food Safety Level 4
  • Lead Auditor
