The company

This food manufacturer provides specialist foods and drinks that are frozen, chilled and ambient. A relatively new company that is part of a larger and well-established group, they are looking to expand and become the market leader in their food product sector, therefore this is a very exciting time to join the team.

The job

As NPD Manager, you will oversee the delivery of all development projects from concept to launch by the development team to agreed timelines and commercial targets.

You will identify and evaluate food trends that support the business vision and customer strategy, define and lead the product development strategy, manage and optimise the development process whilst coaching & developing the team to maximise their creative potential together with delivering projects to agreed timelines and commercial aspirations.

Your experience

You will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science, food technology or nutrition related discipline and possess strong food product development experience, ideally within products such as ready meals, sauces, drinks, soups or similar. You will have a background in leading and developing an NPD team/department, be passionate about food innovation and can demonstrate an understanding of flavours, cuisines, ingredients and how to make good tasting products.

The NPD Manager job is based in the South Coast UK region and is paying £40,000 - £45,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday.
