Accountabilities:

We make delicious salad meals, fruit pots, coleslaw, potato salad, bagged salads and leafy salad bowls across our 4 manufacturing sites. Our products are stocked by leading Retail supermarkets & popular restaurant chains, consumed by millions of customers in the UK. So, you may well have eaten something made by us!

You will be managing a Category team made up of 3 Category Managers, 1 Insight Manager and 2 Category Executives. They are all are hungry for development and to continue building their careers so you will be instrumental in coaching and ensuring on-going training to strengthen their skills.

You will be accountable for delivering an agile, outstanding team that delivers world class market and shopper insight in every "power category" (Coleslaw, Leaf, Salad Meals and fruit). This will happen through thought provoking research, that provides a platform for transformational growth for us and our customers.

We use insight from sources like Kantar, Nielsen and Dunnhumby so there are plenty of opportunities to deliver robust and actionable data & insight to the business. This will enable category growth for our customers, ensure their ranges are in line with consumer trends and competitiveness in the market place.

You will work cross functionally with teams across the business to show existing and potential new customers the added value above product offering & pricing that category data provides.

We have four sites in total. 3 within walking distance on the Chichester Food park and one near to Selsey.

This role will mainly involve working at our new bright and modern office on the Chichester Food Park when you aren't with customers, however there are also opportunities to work from home.

About you:

An experienced Head of Category with track record of successfully managing and developing a team.

Food Manufacturing experience is preferred and any experience in our specific industry would be advantageous. This could be within grocery, fresh produce, Fruit, ambient or frozen foods for example.

We would also be interested in hearing from candidates with other transferable FMCG / Consumer Goods industry knowledge.

Naturally confident communicator with the ability to build relationships.

Ability to tell the story with insight and data. Looking for the genuine nuggets of information that can be used to the mutual benefit of us and our customers.
