ROLE
Reporting into the Technical Services Manager the main purpose will be:
1) To conduct and coordinate project work to support and develop the current technical systems
2) To gain exposure to all functions of the technical department, interacting with other relevant departments
Other responsibilities
• Complete customer specifications/ artwork approval
• Maintain and update the sites document control system
• Play a part in the company’s customer complaint reduction plan
• Conduct gap analysis’ against Customer COP’s, Accreditation Body and Legal standards to identify gaps, implementing corrective and preventative actions to target full compliance
• Update factory procedures/ paperwork to ensure our documentation demonstrates due diligence and is reflective of the activities conducted on site
• Assist with the implementation of any technical systems i.e. lab, packaging verification, checkweigher systems
• Work within the QA team to tackle and problem solve day to day factory events
• Act as part of the supplier approval team to approve and monitor suppliers/ raw materials
• Conduct process validation trials to enable validation for allergens, species and thermal processing
• Carry out risk assessments and implement controls as a result
• Complete other administrative duties as applicable to support technical management
CANDIDATE
Food related Degree/Qualification
Excellent communication skills
Great organisational skills, skilled at time management
Good standard of written English and Numeracy
Ability to generate and interpret statistical data
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good IT skills- data entry, report writing (graphs & charts) and photography will be required
Ability to efficiently manage, motivate and develop a team
Full UK driving licence
HOURS: 08:00- 17:00 Mon-Fri (some flexibility may be required)
