A day in the life of a Natures Way Foods Transport Planner:

As a core member of the Transport Planning team you will be planning and co-ordinating all the activities relating to the inbound movement of raw materials (Lettuce, fruits, vegetables, ingredients) and packaging materials into our business to meet customer demand.

Essentially, planning and making sure our delicious and fresh products get to their destination on time and manging any logistical challenges that arise.

As our products are a variety of fresh salads, coleslaws and fruit pots then they have a short shelf life. This adds an extra layer of complexity as things need to be transported in and out as quickly and efficiently as possible, do you think you would be up for the challenge?

No two days are the same so if you get satisfaction from problem solving, having responsibility but also working as a team to get things achieved, then you would be a great fit for our Transport Planning team.

You will also take ownership of the process from purchase order to receipt, communicating plans to suppliers, 3rd party Hauliers and our own operations teams.

We will help you to achieve your goals by providing you with CPD opportunities, regular feedback and support to advance your career.

Role type: Permanent

You will start on Admin hours: (8am - 5pm Monday to Friday) for the first 1-2 months and will then transfer to our shift pattern which is:

Hours: Shift pattern: 6am - 6pm:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 6am - 6pm.

Week 2: Only working on Wednesday and Thursday 6am - 6pm.

Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 6am - 6pm.

Week 4: Only working on Wednesday and Thursday 6am - 6pm.

About you:

This role is all about excellent planning skills! You will also need to be a naturally clear and confident communicator, have good attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.

Previous experience of working in a Transport Planning role is very desirable.

You'll have full support and on the job training from Transport Manager Phil to help you develop your knowledge of the Transport Planning role at Natures Way Foods.
