The Role
We're giving you the chance to lead a new, purpose-built, state-of-the-art food manufacturing factory facility, working for a fantastic branded food business with a great reputation.
Along with providing first-class operational leadership, you'll be able to build the right site culture for the future, incorporating exceptional performance alongside impeccable safety standards.
Within this senior operational role, you will manage site Health & Safety, Manufacturing, Engineering, Technical and Warehouse operations. You will champion the development of site culture and play a key role in ensuring that engagement and performance levels are high.
This role would suit existing Site/Factory Managers who are looking for a new challenge as well as Operations Manager looking to take responsibility for their own site.
The Person
A great leader, able to effectively lead and motivate the team to deliver on objectives and strategy. Someone who can build a cohesive team, can think and act decisively and shows resilience and strength of character. You'll be someone who is comfortable in leading from the front and getting stuck in!
A strong influencer, able to manage and influence at all levels of the business with the professional credibility required to effect change.
Commercially astute and highly numerate, you'll be able to interpret technical and business data to yours and the site's advantage. You'll have a real focus on Continuous Improvement, actively seeking ways to improve plant performance and methods of operation.
In order to be successful in this role, we feel that you need to possess the following:
- Degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in Supply Chain, Engineering, Ops Management or Food Science.
- A minimum of 5 years' management experience.
- Experience of working within food manufacturing.
- A thorough understanding and working knowledge of safety and food safety legislation.
- Knowledge of allergens, vendor assurance, process contaminants and BRC standards.
