Role: Account Manager
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Location: Hampshire

We are working on behalf of a reputable fresh produce business based in Hampshire, who are currently looking for a driven individual who will deliver against their strategy to grow and develop the business to deliver a sustainable future through excellence in Account Management of a defined portfolio of customer accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the primary point of contact for a defined portfolio of accounts, primarily online and discount retailersLead the account management, manage communication and the relationships with these customers in a pro-active, appropriate and efficient manner
  • Drive the category agenda to develop sales in line with the company strategic plan
  • Work in partnership with all departments / colleagues to provide support across the accounts
  • Track performance progress through weekly/ monthly spreadsheets and reporting
  • Perform timely administration and forward planning to support objective delivery
  • Build in-depth knowledge and understanding of the business, all departmental areas and the value chain
  • Drive profit improvement initiatives
  • Develop annual customer strategies, align stakeholders and translate into successful results
  • You may be asked to undertake any reasonable ad-hoc requests within your capability


KEY SKILLS:

  • Previous National Accounts sales experience in food
  • Previous significant commercial experience
  • Experience of working across multiple categories in a commercial capacity
  • Very good standard of written English
  • Highly efficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify commercial and/or cost opportunities Ability to set and manage accurate forecasts and to respond to changing trading conditions pro-actively
  • Excellent consultative selling and negotiation skills
