Production Packing Manager

Job Title: Production Packing Manager
Location:Cambridgeshire
Salary: circa £50,000pa

Our client is one of the market leaders in the FMCG sector and are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join their team in the packing area of their operation.

The role will be to lead and develop an efficient manufacturing operation in line with the site plan and the business KPIs in a cost-effective manner. You will be required to drive the Continuous Improvement process to achieve better cost effectiveness, productivity, quality and hygiene whilst developing your team to perform and grow in their roles. Working collaboratively with the Production Manager managing manufacturing you will effectively manage the factory after the cooking process has been completed.

You will be required to ensure site and customers technical and quality standards are adhered to. Part of the role will be to build and develop key relationships with customers and suppliers as well as communicating information across effectively to the rest of your team.

Ideal Candidate:
*You will need to have experience leading a successful production team in the FMCG sector. Previously held roles as Production Manager, Operations Manager, Front Line Manager, Packhouse Manager or similar.
*You will be forward thinking in your outlook and yet be prepared to lead from the front when required.
*A strong financial acumen to keep costs at a sustainable level to increase profitability for the business.
*Takes action to reinforce the business expectations to ensure processes and practices are aligned accordingly.
*A track record of developing people and keeping a cohesive and engaged team
*An understanding of CI and Lean methodologies
