As the Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineer you will be part of an established maintenance team in this Norfolk based facility, you will be given the opportunity to really impact this site & help them develop by supporting equipment improvement.

This leading manufacturer develop an array of specialist products & are looking to do so in the most effective & efficient way. As the Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineer you will be instrumental in driving best practice through improving their manufacturing processes. There is a lot of scope for this role to develop & for you to step up, assuming more responsibility long term.

Description

As the Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineer you will be a key member of the engineering team, supporting operational staff with the resolution of complex problems. You will be leading the implementation of electrical, installation & control improvements to a range specialist plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting in the delivery of the site project & engineering improvement programme.
  • Implementing a continuous improvement programme to maintain & increase production, whilst meeting the legislative requirements.
  • You will be required to plan, prioritise and carry out inspection, maintenance and testing in accordance with the planned maintenance management system.
  • Ensuring that a system is in place to capture all of the relevant asset information.
  • Monitoring OEE & ensuring that Scheduling & Maintenance deliver the service to minimise downtime.
  • Balance the varied demands of internal customers on and off the productions units.
  • Working with the operational team to decrease down time & ensure improved OTIF figures.
  • Delivering a cost effective service to the rest of the site, ensuring Production downtime is reduced to a minimum.
  • Ensuring that EHS is consistently driven as a site priority in Engineering and Maintenance.


  • NB: You will be occasionally be required to be on standby for call outs



    Profile

    An Electrical Instrumentation/Control Engineer with experience within a hazardous manufacturing environment preferably chemical or oil & gas. The successful applicant will also have the following:
  • HNC, HND or Degree level in Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering
  • Ideally membership or recognition by a relevant nationally recognised body such as TUV, IET or ICE
  • Experience working under the Electricity at Work Regulations in an industrial environment & managing contractors
  • Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and application of Process Improvement Techniques
  • Ideally in-depth knowledge of applicable legislation including HaSaWA, COMAH, DSEAR and relevant HSE Codes of Practice
  • Proven record of delivering improvement
  • Ability to work successfully as an individual & as part of a team
