Why work as part of our Engineering team?

We are looking for a self-motivated and dedicated Weekend Servicing Technician in our Engineering Department, who are seeking a challenging and rewarding role at the heart of our business at our Edinburgh bakery. Successful individuals will be provide a timely and effective planned maintenance service to our customer in production whilst ensuring safety, quality and hygiene standards are met. The hours of work are 40 per week covering 4 days from Friday to Monday.

What does your typical day look like?

You will support the site engineering requirements and all associated equipment. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair on a diverse range of plant and equipment and will be expected to contribute effectively to all planned preventive maintenance across the bakery. Complete planned & reactive maintenance on a range of equipment such as conveyors, chains, valves, bearings, Pneumatics and rotating equipment.

What are the key ingredients needed for the role?

You will be a time served and qualified mechanical engineer and ideally had previous experience in a fast moving/high volume manufacturing environment. You should possess a sound knowledge of mechanical systems, including motors, gearboxes and drive systems, Pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

You may have had experience or be interested in the following: Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Service Engineer, etc.
