Quality Control Supervisor | Fresh Produce

Our client is a leading supplier of fresh produce to UK and European retailers and has experienced a large amount of growth in recent years, thanks to their drive and determination to deliver the best service to their clients. They are now looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee a team of 8 QAs to further ensure their high standards are maintained.


The Job:

Reporting to the Site Technical Manager, you will supervise the daily quality management system.
Ensure effective quality control staff cover.
To ensure full adherence to company's quality management system.
Support customer visits and audits.
To be responsible for internal audits and implementation of corrective actions.
Supervise the preparation of customer samples as required.
Ensure efficient document control and distribution of current documents.
To ensure adherence to the company's residue testing schedule.
Daily stock quality monitoring.
Participate in daily stock selection and management.
To ensure estimated waste is updated and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
To maintain safe and clean work areas.
To complete all documentation accurately and within agreed timeframes.
To work collaboratively with other departments.
To attend relevant meetings and cascade information to teams as appropriate.
To undertake any other duty commensurate with the role.


You:

Will have a minimum C grade GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office packages.
Proven experience in a quality control role within food / fresh produce.
Ideally have experience with soft fruit.
Experience of managing people.
Scrupulous attention to detail.
Excellent communicator

You will be required to work over 5 days, including 1 day at the weekends during peak periods.
