This company are based in the Shropshire area & are looking to implement a permanent night shift in one of their key business units, and as a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for maintenance on both mechanical & electrical equipment. Working with senior management to implement site wide initiatives.

Description

This business are in need of a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer who will be working as part of a team, leading the implementation of efficient reactive & preventative maintenance processes. This is an exciting opportunity to be able to interact cross functionally in order to improve their engineering efficiency. You will also be required to work alone as well as part of a team & some key responsibilities include:
  • Receive shift handover information from the Engineering Supervisor
  • Agree/understand upcoming activities and priorities
  • Review plan with Engineering supervisor for any up and coming availability of assets for P.M. and remedial work opportunities
  • Update shift report in conjunction with Team Leader to ensure fully documented handover to oncoming shift
  • Manage your breaks in conjunction with Team leader/Engineering supervisor maintaining production needs to ensure that lines run to their optimal performance
  • Support Engineering supervisor to ensure that training needs are identified in order to achieve the required standards of performance, quality and Health & Safety
  • Complete all documentation relevant to the tasks performed
  • Ensure that the maintenance of all machinery is carried on timely basis in alignment with the PM plan




  • Profile

    A Maintenance Engineer, ideally with experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment ideally food, beverage or packaging. The successful applicant will have:
  • Recognised electrical and/or mechanical qualifications
  • Understanding of PLC & computer controlled equipment
  • Competent electrical / electronic fault finding and analysis skills
  • Able to work under own supervision or as part of a team
  • Sound communication & training skills
