This company are based in the Shropshire area & are looking to implement a permanent night shift in one of their key business units, which as the Supervisor you will be a key part of. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient running of machinery & management of a team of multi-skilled engineers.

Description

As Night Shift Engineering Supervisor, you will be leading a team of engineers in driving equipment consistent results. You will be working with the senior management team in order to implement site wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Plan and deliver effective equipment maintenance activities
  • Help deliver OEE improvements
  • Ensure all engineering tasks are carried out in a safe and cost effective manner
  • Develop thorough engineering procedures and ensure compliance
  • Assist with ensuring all statutory legal inspections are carried out as scheduled within the allotted time frame
  • Ensure that business systems such as SAP are being used effectively to develop a planned maintenance strategy
  • Support the development of these systems within the engineering function
  • Develop, motivate and manage the shift engineering team
  • Assist with approved capital projects, meeting quality, safety and operational standards


  • Profile

    The successful candidate will be an Engineering supervisor ideally with a formal engineering qualification but will have:
  • Ideally a recognised electrical and/or mechanical qualifications
  • Ideally previous leadership/supervisory responsibility
  • Experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment (ideally food)
  • Preventative Maintenance knowledge
  • Demonstrate people management skills with strong communication skills
