The job

As Production & Plant Manager, you will have full production and supply chain responsibility for the manufacture of food products.

Working with the Board and senior management, you will identify, develop, and evaluate the production strategy based on company objectives, market characteristics, latest technologies plus cost and mark up factors.

You will manage a talented production team which consists of product production staff, packing staff, shipping, receiving and purchasing (approximately 30 individuals), where you will strive to increase productivity, inspire and motivate junior employees, and help grow the company’s market share. You will ensure staff are properly trained and all regulatory and safety procedures are followed.

Your experience

You will be a driven and proven operations or production manager with the ability to manage operation, production, planning, and supply chain functions within food manufacturing. Ideally educated to a degree level in an engineering or food technology based field, you will have an excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques, be experienced in HACCP principles and have good H&S knowledge. You will also be IT literate including Microsoft Office.

The Production & Plant Manager job is based in the South East region and is paying £40,000 - £45,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are 5.30am – 3.30/4pm, Monday to Friday.
