Job Details

The Quality Assurance department ensures the quality and safety of all Lidl GB own brand products, through a structured programme of testing, auditing and enforcing compliance.You will join a growing Nutrition team to implement a calorie reduction program. Ensuring and maintaining the safety and high quality of our products, whilst working to meet Government and industry targets.

  • Ensuring the collation of accurate information is maintained
  • Maintaining historical nutrition information
  • Regularly reviewing market trends
  • Identifying relevant artwork to update databases
  • Creating and managing the calorie reduction database
  • Supporting salt and sugar reduction programs
  • Monitoring competitor positions in salt, sugar and calories
  • Supporting the Nutrition team in influencing product development
  • Carrying out sensory analysis of revised nutrient products
  • Assisting in any other Quality Assurance related tasks

 

What will you need?

What will you need?

  • A degree in a nutrition/food science related discipline is essential
  • Excellent knowledge of current and emerging Government reduction schemes
  • Analytically minded, pragmatic and highly professional
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Organised with strong time management skills
  • Strong multi tasker who enjoys working to schedules and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good presentation skills and confident when presenting to an audience
  • UK driving license is desired
  • Highly competent user of Microsoft excel
  • German would be advantageous but is not essential
