H+S is a difficult sector. Although it is essential within manufacturing all too many would love to brush this under the carpet to get the job done or would like to do it their way… Their way has led to them still being here to tell the tale after all.

With an incredibly vigilant approach to health and safety and you will need to have the capacity to make difficult and complex decisions.

This site is in a very strong position within the food manufacturing industry and is in the process of going through substantial change and investment. Consequently are looking to have the right people in place to support.

You will take a consultative approach and ensure you maintain the learning culture on site. It is important for them that the professional who joins their team values the importance of everyone on site understanding why and you will take a mentoring approach to the team.

You will work closely with the Senior Membership team in making decisions whilst working autonomously on a day to day.

Health and safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH) are essential for this role as well as experience working within a FMCG manufacturer. You will also be able to demonstrate leadership skills, your ability and previous success in creating, developing and applying H&S strategies which drive change and employee engagement.
