What the role is:

You will be pivotal in supporting the adherence to Food Safety/Health processes keeping the Compliance administration up to date and completing Compliance checks in the Manchester region alongside the Compliance Manager. The role is fundamental to influence a positive safety culture and supporting the company in driving continuous improvements around due diligence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Log and check internal HACCP and food safety documentation against company standards to ensure compliance. Feeding back on deviations and ensuring that corrective actions are noted
• Update and maintain unit Compliance Activity Planners and supply relevant information for month end reports 
• Maintain key Compliance information such as Legionella files, Fire Log Book 
• Support the Compliance Manager with the collation of documentation for Customer complaints/ comments 
• Compile and issue the First Aid Roster 
• Maintain the Training Matrix and training files for the Manchester Region and flag training requirements to relevant unit management
• Book Medicals and tick tests 
• Check/calibration of unit thermometers and Scales on a monthly basis 
• Work with Fire Marshals/ compliance team, ensuring that the monthly fire checks are carried out 
• Assist the unit management team with the Quality Control of finished products by carrying out spot checks on flight components to confirm adherence to specification
• Conducting GMP audits and sending out findings to the Management Team

What you’ll have:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft office essential

• Strong organisational skills

• Confident and able to give feedback to all levels

• Physical ability to conduct product checks (may involve bending and lifting)

• Previous experience of Compliance/ Food Safety an advantage
