The Role
Planning and leading packaging related projects, you will work closely with procurement, innovation and technical teams and drive suppliers to achieve the best solutions at a good price. Evaluating packaging to ensure it is compatible with the briefs, and able to meet the production capabilities of the site, you will select appropriate suppliers and liaise on pricing. Pack material issues must be investigated and solutions identified, as well as packaging trials to test suitability under various conditions. You will represent the company at first runs of new designs at printers and generate material specifications alongside the technical department to ensure labelling is compliant.
Person profile
- Degree or relevant experience
- Practical knowledge of packaging materials and manufacturing methods
- Awareness of sustainability trends and issues
- FMCG experience a bonus
- Good attention to detail and communication skills
