This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified Technical Manager with experience in food manufacturing, particularly fresh food, to join a successful business with ambitious growth plans.

You will need to be experienced in working with major retailers as this site supplies fresh food into the majority of them. You must also have high standards as this site is BRC AA rated, having improved from a rating of B. This improvement is indicative of the current culture at the site. This is a company keen to improve and uphold standards, nurture a strong and collaborative team, and as a result grow the business.

Managing a team will be a strength of yours. Encouraging high performance, coaching staff who need extra support and recognising the achievements of those exceeding achievements. The current team is around 15 which is set to increase in line with the growth of the company.

The key requirements in this role are delivering technical leadership across the site, developing and maintaining procedures to monitor compliance for both internal and external food safety standards, liaising with key customers to maintain the positive relationships, and creating a harmonious team culture in which everyone is aware of their own roles and responsibilities.

  • Ability to manage people
  • Experience of working in food manufacturing as a Technical Manager
  • Practical experience of working with the major food retailers
  • Practical experience of HACCP, BRC and retailers code of practice
  • Computer literature in all Microsoft packages
