The job

Acting as the company’s champion for sustainable continuous improvement, in this role you will utilise your experience to develop and deliver the Lean Manufacturing program across all functions.

You will generate ideas for improvement through practical involvement, coaching and guiding individuals to use tools and sharing best practice across the different teams. Key areas covered will include People Capability, Lean Tools and Techniques, Effective Planning, Quality Fundamentals, and Effective Maintenance.

You will build a network of improvement champions across the site to establish best practice, implementing a robust performance measurement system which delivers bottom line cost reduction.

Your experience

You will possess a strong operational management background, ideally having worked at Operations, Process, Quality Manager level within a fast-paced food manufacturing / FMCG environment. You will be an influential communicator, able to both lead and listen as a member of a team and show good flexibility in order to work with a wide range of colleagues and teams. We are seeking an expert in lean/world-class manufacturing principles (TPM, autonomous maintenance, Kaizen, SMED, FMEA, 5Y's, 5s, RCA, 6 Sigma), being able to demonstrate the selection and application of the appropriate CI tool(s) for the improvement opportunity.

The Continuous Improvement Manager job is based in the North West region and is paying £40,000 - £50,000 according to individual skills and previous experience + benefits.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, however, the business is very flexible and 1 day a week can potentially be worked from home.
