This is an opportunity for an individual to join a award winning, independently owned food business. The Buyer will be responsible in undertaking all activities relating to sourcing individual products.

Client Details

My client is a leading award winning independently owned food business with an international supply base in over 20 countries who are exponentially growing year on year, increasing their presence in the UK Food Industry. They supply mainly into all UK retailers with both Own Label and Branded ambient goods.

Description
  • Develop and maintain commercial relationships with all existing and new suppliers
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the product groups including industry trends, economic factors, supply chain security issues and key suppliers for each product group
  • Collaborate with the Technical Team on suppliers for NPD
  • Research the market as required in order to extend and improve the company's product ranges
  • Manage product supply to meet the business needs
  • Manager supplier tenders, contract and the timely deliver of products on time and to quality standards


Profile
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Procurement knowledge of the tendering process (preferable within the FMCG sector)
  • Stakeholder Management skills
  • Commercial & Financial management skills
