Role Objectives

  • To support the quality manager in the maintenance, management and development of the company quality management system
  • To ensure the company remains compliant to the various quality standards accredited to the business

Main Activities

  • Planning and conducting internal audit programmes and assisting in the management of any associated CAPA's
  • Management of deviations and events including creation and closure of deviations, and supporting CAPA creation and execution.
  • Carrying out PQRs (product quality reviews) as required
  • Supporting the maintenance of site VMP (validation master plan)
  • Conducting quality risk assessments as required for various business activities including change control
  • Supporting the QA manager in the preparation and hosting of customer or accreditation audits
  • Representing quality as required within the business
  • Checking and sign off of production documentation
  • Tracking and updating of quality KPI's

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable knowledge of food quality requirements
  • Demonstrable knowledge and use of Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements and of working with the key elements of a QMS
  • Previous experience of working to FSSC/BRC standards

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a pharmaceutical production environment
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Computer literate.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Maths and English GCSE at C or above
  • Desirable: Chemistry GCSE at C or above or equivalent qualification
