Technical Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Controller to join the site Executive Team of one of our clients, an established prepared food manufacturer with a culture of respecting, recognising and rewarding each individual’s contribution.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Technical Controller will need to provide leadership and direction to ensure that the multi-disciplinary team is engaged and focused and that each member is delivering their potential.

The successful candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic about shaping the future of the Technical Team and helping to deliver the overall strategy of the site.

This role may appeal to you if you are currently a Technical Controller, Head of Technical or a Senior Technical Manager for a large, complex manufacturing site. You will have experience at a site which manufactures chilled, prepared products for major multiple retail customers.

You will also have a proven track record as a Technical Leader and Strategy Developer. You will be providing a senior interface with multiple customers on joint business planning activities to deliver exceptional standards of customer service and adherence to customer policies and requirements. To do this successfully you will have a track record in developing and maintaining excellent relationships within the multiple retailer arena.

In this role you will have the autonomy to lead the Technical function, whilst working as part of a collaborative Executive Team, making strategic decisions and leading projects.  This role will suit someone with previous experience of setting and managing budgets, negotiating with suppliers and managing multiple external service providers (eg Labs, Laundry, Pest Control, Chemical suppliers etc).

The role is based in London and the package includes a generous basic salary and a car or car allowance.
